The specifications provided by the sports official of the local city council were crystal clear; create an installation that combines the two disciplines; bouldering and rope climbing. The final result is an artificial structure considerable in size and constructed using our increasingly popular Top Wave panels, which provides us with the possibility to avoid using 90-degree angles and rather opt for interesting inclinations enhancing the possibility for optimal training.
The boulder is composed of 3 different modules: the first is 7 meters wide, 3 meters high and has an inclination of 35 degrees. The second section is also 7 x 3 but with a 25-degree inclination while the third and final module is 4,5 m wide and 4 meters high with an angle of 10 degrees. At right and combined with the last boulder section is a climbing area measuring 4,5 meters in width and with a height of 6 meters. It has 3 lines/top anchors, which opens for at least 6 routes of varying difficulty.
In total the climbable surface is around 115 m2. The panels have approximately 25 t-nuts per m2 and we have supplied more than 1000 climbing holds carefully selected from various manufacturers including Blue Arrow, MR Climbing, Kroma and Top30 iholds.
Additionally we have delivered high-density, customized fall protection mats made with a durable and washable PVC-cover suited for outdoor use.
