Tortosa climbing wall (ESP)
There has been a profound wish to have a climbing wall installed at Tortosa for years and finally the continued work of the Unión Excursionista with the support of the FEEC has borne fruits. Inside one of the municipal sports halls there is now a shining bright climbing wall designed and installed by Top30 using our improved Top Wave 2.0 panels. The most striking feature of this artificial structure is the extremely long overhanging section, which will offer routes of more than 20 meters of length - something out of the ordinary when it comes to walls of this size.
The height of the wall is 12 meters and the width of the construction is 18 meters, which results in 30 top anchors resulting in an almost infinite possibility of combinations between climbing lines.
To create the climbing routes we have delivered 2000 holds. Additionally we have constructed a platform on top, which is accessible via a safety ladder. The section below is adapted for beginners and climbing courses and the platform serves of course as an exit point for abseils etc.
