Top30 has completed a relatively large artificial climbing structure inside the impressive welfare building at Statoil´s processing plant at Kollsnes west of Bergen. The energy company Statoil is the largest operator on the Norwegian continental shelf with numerous offshore and onshore facilities.
The installation has a climbable surface of around 200 m2 and is produced using a clever combination of 3D Real Rock (fibreglass) and our Top Wave panels (coated plywood). We have created a versatile climbing wall with 15 - 16 top anchors plus a section with tubular anchor for easy top roping. At least 12 lines are equipped with hangers for lead climbing and with more than a thousand climbing holds offered, there should be a multitude of options. Top30 has also put in place a safety floor consisting of rubber tiles and a protective net, which separates the climbing zone from the rest of the huge sports hall. We have also provided a large selection of climbing gear, thus making the wall operational from day one.
