Ejea de los Caballeros (commonly known simply as Ejea) is a town and municipality in the province of Zaragoza, part of the autonomous community of Aragon. The town joined the medieval Kingdom of Aragon in the year 1105 during the Spanish Reconquista and when the Muslim rule in the region was falling back. The town retains many medieval buildings.....and now a brand new climbing wall. The local climber's many years of struggle to get their own indoor wall are now a dream come thru.
Innside the municipal sports complex Top30 has installed most likely one of the best facilities for sports climbing in the whole of Aragon. The installation is 12 meters high and combines various zones, which incorporates all levels of difficulty - from beginners level to high level training. In the upper part there are several platforms that are ideal for teaching and training e.g. abseiling techniques. Access to the platform(s) is via a safe staircase on one of the sides. The climbing wall itself has been constructed using architectural concrete and is secured by the buildings own structure as well as by additional foundations installed by Top30.
We have also included in the project the installation of two so-called autobelays (self-belaying systems), which will add a large portion of user friendliness.
Last but not least Top30 has installed a small bouldering wall and provided quite a lot of climbing gear for future users as well as for the municipal climbing school.
