Open Asturias boulder championship 2010

The Open Villa de Gijón and Asturias boulder championship went under way this weekend in perfect conditions on the seafront close to the city.
The trial was organized by the FEMPA (Mountaineering and Climbing Federation of the Principality of Asturias) sponsored by the City Council of Gijón and with the collaboration of Top30 as well as some commercial brands.
92 climbers registered in the various categories and came from Murcia, Madrid, León, Cantabria and Asturias.
It was as mentioned a splendid day with pleasant temperature coming off the Cantabrian Sea. The high level of the climbers and the high quality of the boulder problems created by Francisco Blanco, Gelu Castro, Rafa Costa and Conrado made the event into a climbing fiesta the large audience applauded.
Most likely and hopefully this competition will be repeated and become a summer classic.
